Greetings Pet Parents,
Welcome back Spring! We sure are happy to see the sun shining and snow melting - the longer days are upon us! Very soon the truest sign of spring shall reveal itself in the form of another stylish, seasonal ‘doo for Morty. The team (mostly Jodelle) is daydreaming up a new look as you read this very newsletter!
Other less enjoyable signs of Spring - internal and external parasites! Fleas, ticks and other nasty critters are more active outside of the winter season with ticks being able to flourish at only 4 degrees. Fortunately, Dr. Kaylee and Dr. Brianna are able to prescribe effective flea and tick treatments for both cats and dogs!
Spring signals the start of a busier season for everyone, not just the parasites! Ensuring that your pet is up-to-date on their annual exam, vaccinations and preventive treatment (flea, tick, dewormer, heartworm) is critical for their protection. When we spend more time outside, visiting together and on the move (travel plans should include pets, too!), whether it’s directly or indirectly, we interact with an increased amount of other household pets, feral animals and wildlife. And yes, we still offer house call services right to your farm or door!
Our Spring F.A.R.M. Cat Program will take place on Thursday, April 2nd. Registration will open on Monday, March 23rd. A non-refundable deposit of $60 is required for each cat upon registration. Please call the clinic directly to register. For more information on our FARM Cat Program, visit our website at https://wwvs.ca/farm-cats
A big thank you to everyone for bearing with us as we moved from a daily order schedule to a twice-weekly order schedule due to changes with our courier service. We appreciate the patience and cooperation we’ve had from our wonderful clients - it has been a very smooth transition!
Last but not least, we have a new staff member joining the Waggin’ Wheelz team next month! Our front end gals are especially excited to welcome another full-time receptionist to the roster. We can’t wait for you to meet her - we know she is going to be a great asset to the team!
