There have been complaints of feral and stray cats within our communities. Waggin' Wheelz Veterinary Services and the Town of Wadena have partnered together to help combat these issues. Live-trapping and euthanizing them has not proven to be an effective way to manage these unhealthy populations. Studies have shown that by trapping and spaying or neutering cats then releasing them with some obvious form of identification (such as ear notching) helps to stabilize the population, decrease disease and single out problematic cats.
